It seems that when I lose the aged pension I will also lose my hearing aids and their maintenance. Please correct me if I am wrong.

A lot of those things are determined by the state you are in, but in general, yes, you lose those benefits when you come off the age pension.

CGU Privilege Card if you have insurance with CGU. AGL Rewards Program, Lumo Energy (Lumo Ameego Shopping Program) if you are their customer for your utilities but for Lumo Energy it depends whether the energy plan you choose gives you access to this loyalty program. Red Energy Rewards™ Membership, Australian Unity – Wellplan Rewards Program, Medibank Private – Medibank Choose Your Reward and RACV membership card. Depending on the program the discounts can range from gift cards at reduced prices, to reduced movie ticket prices, to discounts off meals at restaurant to discounted prices for state or interstate attractions in Australia like theme parks.

Plenty of local businesses offer rewards cards also, too many to name even! Some others I can think of that are more widely known:
-Chemmart pharmacy (earn points on non-prescription items to reduce costs at the register),
-the Co-op book shop is widely distributed ($20 one time fee to join, then get member discounts for life- great for university students. They also have free postage),
-EB games have been around for a while,
    -RACQ (& other state equivalents),
    -Petbarn,
    -Red Cross (buy/donate 10 times for a 25% discount).

Dymocks has an amazing one. Free signup, special offers and gather money to spend, 5% of every purchase goes onto the card as store credit and when you reach a certain level 20%.

Oh, I didn’t know this and when I spent a few hundred there recently, no one told me! I usually order books online but every now and then I go into a store. Thanks, Greg!
